You never know whom your story can inspire, the hope it may offer, or how lives will be changed once it is shared. I recently received this wonderful email from a friend of one of my clients that provided me much food for thought about what I do.
"A group of Sarah’s friends are meeting for a pot luck lunch, each one bringing a dish made from recipes in your book Becoming Whole. I was so inspired when I read it and wanted to show support for what Sarah is experiencing by cooking for her and by knowing more of her diet.
I know hers is very restrictive and so I have a couple of questions. Does her diet allow for some sesame oil, sea salt, maple sugar (produced in Maine) and what fresh fruits is she allowed?
Your story is very inspiring. How wonderful that you have turned a near tragedy into solace for so many and a very fulfilling profession for you. You are amazing!"
What a truly great idea this is! What a wonderful trend this could be!
Sarah is fortunate to have such great friends who are showing her the support that is sure to help her on her journey. You can never have too much support from family and friends when facing life-changing situations (such as major health issues) and when making the life-changing choices so often necessary to sustaining one’s hope - even possibly providing total recovery, as in my case. Unfortunately, for those making the change to a macrobiotic diet and other healthy lifestyle choices, support is not always so readily available.
I must tell you that Sarah “has taken the bull by the horns”. She is 70 years young and an inspiration in her own right, obviously. Following her gutsy lead, her friends have jumped in to show their support. They are even taking it upon themselves to become further educated as to what Sue can eat and why or why not, how to prepare it, and joining her in partaking of a deliciously nutritious, plant-based meal. One wonderful example of how someone’s story has inspired, positively influenced and genuinely affected the lives of others.
What is your story? Consider how it may help someone else, providing the answers and solutions they have been seeking and ideas that they may desperately need – right now. Much like sharing a healthy, plant-based meal, sharing your story can inspire others and be the delicious food for thought that fuels a healthier mindset, leading to healthier life-style choices by those who will hear it.

no its not wrong a lot of people try to diet to look good. hwoever if you start dieting for health reasons, youre more likely to have better motivation (ie i want to live a healthy life vs i want to look good in a dress tonight.)it's really not that bad. it's just your personal motivation to lose weight. the only thing to keep in mind is that you need to stay healthy. i dont know your body so i cant say for sure that 110 is too little for someone of your height, but to tell you the truth that sounds like too little so be careful!!!

Food marketing brings together the producer and the consumer. It is the chain of activities that brings food from farm gate to plate. The marketing of even a single food product can be a complicated process involving many producers and companies. For example, fifty-six companies are involved in making one can of chicken noodle soup. Thanks.
